Canadian. Licensed in 1967 as VE2DGL (after several years as a SWL)  Became VE4AH in 1970 & VE6DK in 1980.  Vaguely remembers working contests single op for 48 hours consecutively while in University (W7OHR). 
The demands of career and family inherent with 5 children precluded much operating in the intervening years. From 1987-97 he traveled to over 35 countries. Moved to Brisbane in 1997 & got seriously back into radio in 1999 chasing DX & contesting. Works 80-6M, SSB and CW.

Recently retired Air Traffic Controller, age 53, friend of VK4APG & partner with him in Canal Boat in France. 

Plenty of sailing experience, mostly in multihulls.  Believes he has developed immunity to Amateur Radio Viruses but willing to undergo extended exposure to test hypothesis! Enjoys Pete's cooking and a cold beer on a hot day. Has difficulty keeping up with DG's mind. Has organized several group trips to remote coral atolls over the past ten years.

Main interest is 6M DX since being bitten by the 6M DX bug in late 91.  Manages his own website with an emphasis on 6M related content.   Enjoys homebrewing projects that use imbedded microcontrollers.  Age 36.  Other interests include 4WDing, the Stockmarket, and not having to work for a living - more radio time!

Wide range of radio interests - active on top band to 

23 cm, repeater keeper for one of the first 6M repeaters 

in the UK - GB3EF, near Ipswich. Uses SSB, digimodes & a

little CW.
Main interest is HF DX - over 300 countries worked.

41 years old, married with one son.

Lives near Ipswich in the UK and works for a large UK 

Telco on both radio issues and Optical Fibre.
