Волинь-край голубих озер. Їх тут понад 200. Озеро Світязь найбільше з них. Його площа становить 27.5 квадратних кілометрів, а глибина досягає 58.4 м. В центрі озера знаходиться острів. Його площа становить біля 0,7 кв.км. В 1974 році на острові відпочивали космонавти П.Попович і Ю.Артюхін, які під час космічного польоту спостерігали озеро Світязь і острів, які вразили їх своєю красою.Volyn is the land of blue lakes. There are more than 200 of them. Svityaz is the laggest of them. Its area is 27.5 sq.km.,and depth is 58.4 m. In the centre of lake there is the islalnd. Its aera is about 0.7 sq.km. In 1974 cosmonavts Pavlo Popovych and Yuriy Artuhin rested on the island. They watch Svityaz and island from space, and they were imprest.
