NEXT MEETING

The January meeting of the Tar River Amateur Radio Club will be held Monday, January 3rd at RYAN'S FAMILY STEAK HOUSE located at 1968 Stone Rose Drive in Rocky Mount. The supper meeting will start at 6:30 p.m.

Bert, WA4TLI will have a demonstration of the new Club's Web Site.

VE EXAM UPDATE

The Tar River ARC VE exam schedule for 2000 is as follows.

January 22
March 25
May 27
July 22
September 23
November 25

The exam sessions will be held at the J C Penney Department Store, Golden East Crossing Mall, conference room. All sessions will begin at 9 a.m. The exam fee for 2000 has not yet been set.

Recap of 1999 exam sessions. There were 5 test sessions (September was canceled due to Hurricane Floyd)

The Show Place U.S. 360

Come up I-95 until you reach Exit 75 in Richmond. (This will be an exit for I-64 East)
Take Exit 75 for I-64 East (towards Norfolk - Virginia Beach)

Go approximately 1.5 miles to Exit 192 (Route 360) Take Exit 192 for Route 360 East

Go approximately a half-mile, and turn left into The Showplace.

Ticket pricing for FrostFest 2000 has been set to $6.00 per ticket.

Tickets will be available at the door on the day of the show

 

ARRL MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS

 

If your ARRL membership is about to run our, please renewal via the Tar River Amateur Radio Club. It is easy, just complete the ARRL renewal form and send that form and the renewal fee payable to TRARC to me and I will do the rest.

YEAR 2000 CLUB DUES

 

The Tar River Amateur Radio Club dues will be due in January. Full Membership is $15.00 and Family Full is $6.00 each. Associate Membership dues are $10.00 and are for Non-license persons only.

 

Please make check payable to the TRARC, and bring to the January meeting or mail to Lonnie Pridgen, the club's treasurer.
