About coffee

I was born in San José, Costa Rica June 19th, 1967, I came from a family that has been very linked to the agriculture and education in our country, mainly in the related with the harvesting and commercialization of the coffee.

I am graduate at level of Agronomic Engineering, although I don't exercise this profession, because current work dedicates it totally to the software and hardware sales of computers, as well as to the teaching of packages of I compute in the  José Figueres Ferrer High School.

About the coffee's harvesting, in Costa Rica about of 80000 families depend directly on this, without having those that depend indirectly on the cultivation and crop.  The cultivation of the coffee in our country even stays like one of the main sources of entrance of foreign currencies, contrary to that that some politicians and Costa Rican economists consider.

As they have affected the low prices in the international market the production of coffee?  In diverse forms, but mainly in that the producers the revenues have been diminished by concept of sale of their product, with that which its have had to minimize the expenses and investments to the cultivation, besides an increment in the production costs, social loads and taxes, besides the rise of these last ones caused by the increase in the prices of the petroleum.

Even so, before this panorama so bad for the coffee production, we won't leave of our side cultivation, will even continue maintaining and improving the quality of the Costa Rican coffee, mainly before the incursion of countries in the coffe's world panorama and whose quality puts in doubt.
