Old News - Revised
RAC WEBSITE - In our last newsletter we mensioned
that the rac website we down. Well, not more
than 2 days after that was written, the rac website return to normal.
I believe it must
have went over its monthly traffic allowance.
Gathering Members
Back on November 1st I wrote a little email to all the clubs or their webmasters in Canada, according to the RAC club listings. Now, 23 days later we have recieved 4 new members which is not to great but not suprising. There arn't alot of us teens that have the brians or the want to be a ham but as few of us that there are, WE DID IT! That shows that it can be done and from my own experience ( I read the study guide for 3 hours and wrote the next day and passed 65%, and the only ham I knew at the time) that anyone can do it! That is where we want our members to interviene. From my own experience, all my friends think I am a geek to have done it, but respect me for what I have done, but we need you to seek out teen hams, and get your friends active... Go through your friends, have them over and show them what it is all about and see if the interest is there. Then help them find the resorces they need. I know of a VERY VERY good study guide that is free and on the net in pdf format. If you have any interest in it. and I know it is the best... follow this link. Lets get this thing going... Face it, we need more members to make our efforts worth while.
WEBSITE
The website is running the same as it did from day one. We need our members to post pictures of themselves and their station on the site... I guess I am not one to talk but I am just waiting to get the film finished! Also, I think we need more links and information on our page but don't know what. Any ideas? Email them to : taroc@qsl.net
