| The Tri-State Amateur Radio Association (TARA) exists for the following purposes: |

To enhance the pleasure that amateur radio
license holders get from their "ham" radio
hobby; To aid people who are interested in becoming "hams" in their efforts to obtain FCC licenses; To serve the public, especially during emergencies, by providing efficient and reliable local, regional and worldwide communications; To provide a forum for discussion of issues pertaining to amateur radio; And to engender goodwill among the general public toward "ham" radio by publicizing the good works of radio amateurs. |
