Who Are SKYWARN Severe Weather Spotters?

SKYWARN spotters in North Dakota consist mostly of emergency response officials and amateur radio operators. This is a volunteer public service. Each year our Spotters donate their time and equipment to help the NWS issue severe weather warnings. This from Bismarck NWS Website.

This is the club information page, it's primary function is to inform the club of activities and to let the world know what we're up to. If you have any new items, additions, corrections contact the web site manager of the Souris Valley Amateur Radio Club. Check the News page for the latest news and events.

Club Meeting: Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. testing usually follows after the meeting but check with club officer a week before the meeting if you want to test. Location at the American Red Cross Office east side door, 2021 4th Ave NW, Minot.

(SVARC) Membership: $25 a year to pay at meetings to club Treasurer.

Donations will help the club greatly.

Ham Radio Equipment for sale

Club Breakfast: Amateur radio operators in the North Central North Dakota area meet every Saturday at ( 8:00 am to 11:00 am-CDT) in the morning at Marco's in the Town & Country Center in Minot on the east side of north 83: for a bit of breakfast and a lot of coffee and talking. If you're in the Minot area and you want to meet the gang drop on in all ages welcomed. If your intested into getting into ham radio we'll tell you what need to learn to get your license and what radios work best.
