My name is Spiros Xanthopoulos. I am 26 years old (born at Feb 13, 1977) and i live in Thessaloniki, Greece. I was first licensed around 5 years ago after 2 attempts to get my ham license. My first portable VHF was the TH-28E by Kenwood. After i decided to get a mobile VHF on my QTH i got another VHF the TM-251E that i loved using. Well, when my economics wend i little better, i got my First HF (old one but very good) the IC-730. I use it now with a vertical multiband antenna from diamond, the model CP-6 (80-40-20-15-10-6m).
I also have a TM-D700E by Kenwood. Its very nice rig, because i use it on APRS/Packet and i can talk on secondary band. Its working very nice on AX-25 protocol at 1200 or 9600 baud. No big problems on APRS also. Because i got the D700, i sold my TM-251 and now i have only the TM-D700E by Kenwood for VHF/UHF use.
My QRA Locator is KN10KP. That is in the west part of my city around 5 km northeast (if i am correct) from the center of my town. For my short carrier i have done not so many, but not so little things. I am on Packet mode (AX25) 1200/9600 baud. I am also using TCP/IP over Radio this past few months. Its a very nice way to communicate with other radio amateurs, using WWConvers and the Packet Cluster is very usefull, especially if you dont want to miss a GOOD DX Station (hi,hi).
I hope i can give you more information about packet soon, untill then...i hope i can see you either on AX25 or TCP/IP.
I am also on APRS. Its new in Greece but we are "moving " VERY fast. We hope that someday all Greece will be linked via APRS and Internet for that purpose.
I also did some cw (morse) on my beginning when i got my HF. I receive with a speed of around 40-50 letters/sec and i believe that is a nice try for a person who now has some time to use CW. I hope someday things will change, and i will return on CW because i believe its a very BEAUTIFUL mode.

My qsl's are ok via buro....The electronic way of confirming qsl's (www.eqsl.cc) is not acceptable by everyone, but i am subsribed to eqsl and my log is updated periodicaly.
