My amateur-radio equipment is consisted of a mobile Alinco V/U DR-610 and DR-620, (144/430 50W/35W), a handheld Yaesu V/U FT-530 (144/430 5W), an HF/VHF/UHF ICOM IC-706MKIIG and a telecommunications receiver AOR AR3000A (0.1MHz-2036Mhz All mode ) with PC connection.
The electronic equipment in my lab includes an analog Hameg oscilloscope 35MHz HM303-6 , Field meter MFK51 Kathrein, a Weller soldering station, a RF Generator, an AF Generator and a TV Pattern Generator (for more information on the last three devices see the project section).
I also have a lot of technical books, CD-ROMS from Texas Instruments and a very large collection of ELEKTOR Magazine issues (Greek Version).

The YEASU FT-530 is probably the best portable device in this field. It is reliable and extremely functional for everything you may possible need it for.
The AR3000A (designed by AOR) is the ideal receiver not only for Radio Amatuers but also as a helping tool for tele-communication laboratories. The only problem I have encountered is the appearance of fake signals which are, most likely, caused by multiple inosculations. |

Following next is a picture of Tentec's 1220 VHF KIT. This device has pretty good characteristics and can compete with any other VHF transceiver found in the market.
