In my home page you will find Radio Amatuer equipment reviews, design information on electronics and all sorts of other useful links. Amatuer-Radio Related Activities The prime activity I was involed was helping, along with other fellow amateur-radio users, in restoring the telecommunications network in my hometown which was damaged during an earthquake in May, the 3th, 1995. Also I participated in FIELD DAYS such as the HAM FESTIVAL in Thessaloniki and in the local AIR JABOREE in association with the scout team. A Few Words About Kozani... The Prefecture of Kozani, one of the four Prefectures of the Region of Western Macedonia, is situated at the crossroads of the Regions of Central Macedonia, Ipirous and Thessaly. It is characterized by an impressive cluster of mountains, plateaus, valleys and expanses bγ lakes combined with the prevalent water element and the sensational alternation of scenery and climate, rich in flora and fauna. Beautiful traditional settlements are scattered all over the mountainous clusters οf Voio, Pieria, Askio and Vermio. Mountain shelters, guest houses in traditional settlements and the camps αt Zoodochos Pigi lend themselves to organized hospitality. Paleontologic and prehistoric findings, treasures of classical antiquity, Byzantine, post Byzantine and modern monuments comprise the historical image of the Prefectυre.
