The 4th column indicates the owner/operator: HAF: Hellenic Air Force, CAA: Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority, Army: Greek Army, HN: Hellenic Navy, Munic: Municipal airport.
The 8th column indicates the type of the transmitter: NDB: On-route Non Directional Beacon, L: Locator Marker, LOM: Locator Marker (outer), LMM: Locator Marker (middle). The range is in nautical miles.
NOTE 1: The following former beacons have been deleted from the list: MAR-422, DEK-388, NAN-335, STF-522, TNG-303, THS-345, FIS-314, HK-275, HN-294, KVR-357, SUN-319.
Three of these beacons, namely TNG-303, DEK-388 and THS-345 are not officially delteted, but special NOTAMs refer to them as "unserviceable".
NOTE 2: LIO-429 NDB is reactivated and redesignated as a locator (October 2007).
The official frequency allocation for the longwave beacon band in Greece is the following:
Freq. (kHz) Services Details ---------------------------------------------------------------- 255 - 283.5 AER RN (shared with LW broadcasters) 283.5 - 315 MAR RN, AER RN 315 - 325 AER RN 325 - 405 AER RN 405 - 415 RN 410 kHz: Radio DF 415 - 435 MAR MOB, AER RN Military 435 - 525.5 MAR MOB (incl. NAVTEX 518 kHz)DISCLAIMER: This list is provided to assist radio amateurs and listeners experimenting with reception in the low frequency (longwave) band in order to identify specific signals. Coordinates are given in degrees and minutes, which is adequate for this type of usage. There is no guarantee that there have been no changes to the table. Pilots and sea and air navigators should consult the current Charts, Supplements and NOTAMs before attempting to use any of these signals.
