and a KENWOOD TS-870S,
VHF/UHF communication: via a MADOL vertical and a KENWOOD TH-D7E,
PACKET communication: not used frequently but always via VHF/UHF repeaters net

ALL my Antennas
are located.. :on the roof of a 7 storeys building. (NO
PHYSICAL OBSTACLES ). The AV640 is very
well grounded (..I hope…!!..)
against both static and atmospheric
electricity, AND VERY WELL GUYED (N.B with the use of both
clamp, placed on antenna´s body at about 4.5 m from its base, and a set of 3 UV resistant special ropes,
bought from “GIOVANNINI ELETTROMECCANICA” [ www.antenna.it ] to resist winds with force
greater than 7 (of beaufort´s scale) ) |
USUAL TIME FOR HF contacts: Weekends, 18.00 GMT- 23.00 GMT, (mainly in 20m and
40m bands)
