The Sterling Park Amateur Radio Club (SPARC) is devoted to amateur radio.


It is affiliated with the American Radio Relay League and the Foundation for Amateur Radio.


The primary activities of the club are:

Sponsoring the Annual Virginia QSO Party.

Operating the the U.S. 4th call area, two-letter prefix, incoming QSL Bureau.

Participating in ARRL Field Day

Participating as a club in amateur radio contests including:

ARRL November Sweepstakes

ARRL 10 Meter Contest

ARRL DX

CQWW DX (SSB and CW)

Operating a radio station at the Annual Sterling Fest to promote interest in amateur radio
