Don,

the last two years we've run hwy 58 from Danville to the I-95 intersection on Saturday, then from Danville to Scott Co. on Sunday.
Two of the most difficult cities are Martinsville and Galax, due to electrical NOISE.
Good luck in the QSO party, the weather forecast is rather warm, slight chance of showers where we'll be driving.

All,
I have a DX Cluster set up for exclusive use of QSO Parties VAQP being no exception.  This is not tied into any other spot server.

The focus is to highlight mobiles and portables on any frequency, but all spots related to this weekend's event are welcome.  Information is available here...
  http://www.qsoparty.com/

I just unrolled this and joined it with our custom web interface.  I don't know how robust this is and I make no guarantee it will work, but things look good thus far.

If you desire a web account to submit spots via the web just let me know and I will set something up.  I prefer callsigns for web account usernames, but am happy to create a club account name for sharing with all your members.

I have no idea if this private DX Cluster will be of much use.  We, Fauquier, intend to use it quite a bit.

I will be working from Highland County (HIG) for the 2012 VA QSO Party with my call sign (KI4BXU). I'll work SSB and CW on any band that my Carolina Windom 80 can do, from 80 m to 6 m (40 m will be my primary band). I have 78 watts ERP to work with, due to the proximity to the Green Bank radio telescope that is about 16 miles due west of my operating location.
