PRESIDENTS THOUGHTS

I want to thank everyone for giving me this opportunity to serve as your president for the upcoming year. The officers will do our best to provide the type of Club you want. But, we need your input. Any thoughts or ideas for programs or activities you have, please give them to either myself or Gordon.

The turnout for the August pizza party was a good one. I enjoyed seeing all who were there.

Mark you calendars for Monday November 18, Dennis Bodson, W4PWF, our Roanoke Division Director will be with us to give his State of the ARRL and the Roanoke Division Address. Have your questions ready as he will answer any and all. This has always been a very informative meeting.

I hope to see everyone at the September Open House on Monday the 16th. As our custom, there is no business meeting at this time, just a good time to catch up on what everyone has been doing all summer. If you have built or purchased a new toy,  BRING IT TO SHOW.

Along this line, many of you were looking forward to seeing my new Argonaut V from Ten-Tec. Well, the shipping date has been moved up to the middle of September, so you have to wait until October. The show and tell I hope becomes a part of all meetings.

We are working on a new operating event/contest for just club members. Will have all the information for you next month. Can’t let it all out.

Hope to see you all Monday night.
