PRESIDENTS THOUGHTS:

Hi,

The last month went by very fast. A couple of contests were going on and I am looking forward to hearing from all on their experiences.

The next SPARC meeting is on Monday, 15 November 2004, and we have one major goal for the meeting.

Lat month we had an initial discussion fo rule changes for the 2005 Virginia QSO Party. Dick, W2YE, volunteered to solicit recommendations from SPARC members, last year's mobiles, and from the sponsors of the Virginia QSO Party plaques.  His compiled recommendations have been previously email to all SPARCies and we have also posted them to our web site at "http://www.qsl.net/sterling/VA_QSO_Party/2005_VQP_News.html."

At this month's meeting we will review these recommendations and finalize the rules for the upcoming QSO Party.

In addition, I would like to solicit suggestions on how to increase participation by Virginia amateurs in the Virginia QSO party. 137 logs were submitted last year and I would like to see an increase this year.

Looking forward to seeing you at the meeting.

73,
Gordon
