Tech License Class



The amateur radio technician license preparatory course started on Saturday, 5 February 2022 at 0800 and was over at 1215 on Sunday, 6 February 2022. The course consisted of 10 classes followed by a review of the examination questions.

Eight students started the class on Saturday,  Six students showed up for class on Sunday morning.  All eight took the tech license examination. All passed.

The instructors continued the tradition of providing excellent instruction.  The discussion about the material was excellent!

The instructors were: Gordon, NQ4K; David, KF4PBU; Eric, KF5LR; Steve, KS1G; Larry, W8ANT; Amit, WY2Z; and Bill, K4UPE. 

The class coordinator / organizer was Amit, WY2Z.   Everything went well.  Everything was well organized.

Gordon, NQ4K, taught the first class T1 on FCC Rules and Regulations.

David, KF4PBU, taught T2 - Operating Procedures and T0 � Electrical safety:

Steve, KS1G, taught T8 � Modulation modes: amateur satellite operation; operating activities; non-voice communications.

Eric, KF5LR, taught T5 � Electrical principles and T6 � Electrical components.

Bill, K4UPE, taught T3 � Radio wave characteristics and T4 - Amateur radio practices and station set-up.

Amit, WY2Z, in addition to being the class coordinator, also ran practice examinations at the end of the formal classes.



The class is over.

Overall another successful event.





All the students passed the technician examination held later in the afternoon.
