Sterling Park Amateur Radio Club (SPARC)
13-14 September 2014 Tech License Class



Another successful class.

It started on Saturday, 13 September 2014 at 0800 and was over at 1200 on Sunday, 14 September 2014. The course consisted of 10 hour-long classes followed by several on-line practice examinations.

18 students took the class and all but one who took the exam, passed the tech exam. 

The instructors were: Jim, KF4PQ; Paul, K4PDF;  Kevin, W4KLS; Henry, K2BFY; Forrest , N4UTY; Chris, KK4HDG; Mark, KI4OBT; bill, K4UPE; and Gordon, NQ4K.
 
Gordon, NQ4K, welcomed the students to Amateur Radio. Jim, KF4PQL, taught Radio Waves and Signals and Modulation & Bandwidth.
Paul, K4PDF, taught Call Signs and Operating Regulations,

Kevin, W4KLS, taught Basic Amateur Radio Station Equipment, Power Sources and Interference, and Safety and Amateur Radio.
Henry, K2BFY, taught Electronic Components, Types of Radio Circuits, and Propagation. Forrest , N4UTY, taught Antennas and Feed Lines, and Practical Antenna Systems.
Bill, K4UPE, taught Communicating with Other Hams.
Chris, KK4HDG, taught License Regulations and License Privileges.
Mark, KI4OBT, taught Electricity, and Ohm’s Law, Power and the Metric System.
