The STARS Club participated in Field Day (June 26h-27th) at the same site as the past few years at the Front Gate (off 17th Street) on the grounds of the North Little Rock V A Medical Center. Setup began Saturday morning after 8:00 a.m. Several members were responsible for making this an enjoyable event. Thanks to Tommy AC5JP, Steve N5QIH, Scot N5TSL, and Dave W5DSB for getting the equipment set up. Steve N5QIH, also was responsible for getting the site reserved, table and chairs, and the porta-potty. Dave W5DSB provided radio equipment and wire antenna. Russell WA5NBK provided the communication trailer and generator. TV station Channel 11 News media filmed an interview for the Saturday evening news. The club meeting was held Sunday morning. The attendance and participation was down compared to last year.

Due to construction at the repeater site, the repeater has been moved to a temporary location. The coverage is not as good but should return to normal when it is returned to the original location.

Plans are underway for the STARS Club annual potluck picnic in October. Tentatively, it will be October 17th at 1:00 p.m. at Fort Roots pavilion.
