In September The STARS Club purchased space at the CAREN Hamfest to sell items donated by Vernon WA5FDF. The money made was deposited to the STARS Cub account.
One of the club happenings since the July 2003 newsletter was the annual club potluck picnic held in October at the Fort Roots Park. Everyone enjoyed the food, friends and the kareoke entertainment provide by Steve N5QIH.
Tommy AC5JP & Margo AC5QA had a weenie roast and bond fire at the “JP Ranch” in October for all the Ham friends. Everyone had such a good time; there are plans for another get together next Fall.
Several Hams have taken up motorcycling and are getting together for bike rides and camaraderie. If you’re interested and monitor the STARS Club repeater, 147.150+, you can probably join in on some of their rides.

Plans are underway for the 2004 Field Day, which will be (according to ARRL) “Always The Fourth Full Weekend In June”. So mark your calendar for June 26 & 27 and help make this year a great success with a lot of Ham fun and DX’ing.
Don't forget our monthly face-to-face meetings at Shoney's in Jacksonville, Gregory Street Exit, at 8:00 a.m. the third Sunday of each month unless otherwise notified during our on the air nets on the Club Repeater, 147.150+, each Sunday evening at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Remember everyone, members and non-members are cordially invited to participate both in our face-to- face meeting and the on the air nets. Invite a friend to join us. Don’t forget to check into our Sunday night 8:00 o’clock net. This is one way of passing on club information and getting acquainted with other Hams.
