LARC Board Min. 10/04
10/4/00 Longmont Amateur Radio Club - Board Meeting
- - Goal:
Have the club continue and prosper for multiple years.
- - Finances:
- All income for the club will be from member dues and donations.
This will require many of the expense items from previous years
be eliminated.
- Swap Fest time slot will be made available to other clubs for
the Year 2001 and be reevaluated next year.
- Autopatch - Unless we have a great benefactor show up with
annual donations of over $325 to cover costs, the Autopatch will
remain members only access.
- Liability and equipment insurance will be maintained.
- News letter will be online only. Those without regular internet
access will need to use the library to read information. This
saves the club about 2/3 of the dues.
- - Meetings:
- Regular monthly membership meetings will continue on the
third Wednesday of each month at 1900 hours as in the past.
- Board meetings will be scheduled as required. The majority of the
Board business will be conducted via E-mail - the results of
which will be posted on the "SplatterEditor" web page for all
to read.
- Saturday morning Breakfast meetings will become weekly at the
Sunny Vale Cafe - A better location will be investigated. Sunny
Vale has good food but a less than optimal meeting room.
- Responsibility for regular meetings will rotate within the Board.
- With the current count of Board members, each Board member
will handle two regular membership meetings per year. The
schedule will be maintained two months in advance.
- Bob Dornan has the October meeting and Chris Miller has the
November meeting.
- - Board Members:
- Will initially be the six volunteers but may be supplemented by
past board members that would like to participate.
- - Board Votes:
- Should there be a question before the board that requires a vote,
a tie vote (equal number of votes for and against the motion)
will be considered a failure of the motion.
- - Membership Input:
- Membership input on any/all subjects is solicited.
- Members that do not have regular E-mail can have their input
displayed on the LARC-MEMB reflector by sending an E-mail to
[email protected] - Pat will insure all E-mail received this way
is forwarded to the reflector (members without regular E-mail
will not be registered on the reflector and cannot submit to
the reflector themselves).
