Meeting Minutes

March 9, 2002



Meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by Don Barkemeyer

 

Present:

New Member:

            Orla Goff from Grants Pass, joined SOAPRA today.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

Treasurer Will Calvert  distributed a copy of  his report, which showed the following:

	Balance as of 01-11-2001				800.45

	Reimburse Steve Grajada (ORRC Dues)	30.00		770.45

	Deposit 6 Dues				140.00		910.45

                        

                        Cash on Hand                       Coffee & Other            21.40

 

                        Bank Balance 2-28-02			940.45

                        Outstanding Check			(30.00)

                        Cash on Hand				 21.40

                        Total Available Funds 3-09-02		931.95            



George Malmstrom moved and Leonard Coleman seconded that the Coffee 
and "Other" fund be combined.  Motion passed.

David Bell moved and Warren Olney seconded that the Treasurer’s Report be accepted.  Motion passed.

 

Secretary’s Report;

Report of the 2-9-02 meeting was handed out and reviewed.  Leonard Coleman moved and 
Dick Suber seconded a motion that the report be accepted.  Motion carried.

 

Technical Report:

·	Albert is having trouble with the BBS path north.  He is working with Ken to get it solved.

·	The GP Node is not working.  This node is owned by Steve Grajada.  There was 
	no information about when or if it would be back in use.


SOAPRA Minutes 3-9-02

 

Old Business:

	Warren Olney and Will Calvert inventoried and removed the SOAPRA equipment 
	from Steve Grajada’s barn.  The equipment included three power supplies, which 
	Ernie Sanford (KC7WEU) is testing..  This equipment is being 
	temporarily stored by Will Calvert. 

 

New Business:

·	Brian Fritsen announced that the EEC in Cave Junction has the 
	call sign KD7QCT.  Its mailbox will be KC7QCT-4, for the time being.

·	The Josephine County ARES is planning to upgrade their EOCBBS, making it a 
	modified full node.  This needs to be discussed with Albert Lawson, who was 
	not at the meeting today.

	George moved to close the meeting at 11:00 a.m.  
	David Bell seconded,  Motion passed
