Willy was one of SMARC's founding fathers.
During the 1980's he was involved directly with the K3NSS EME tests and the regular
70 cm operation using the Navy's 85 foot dish in Cheltenham, MD.
Willie turned many a bolt repairing that dish.

When K3NSS was forced to QRT, Willie used his home station to stay active as an EME operator.
