The very first Orville N. Greene Memorial award was presented to Stephen D. Carver, Esq., K5PT (left) by SETI League founder and president Richard Factor (center). Carver, a patent attorney from Little Rock AR, serves as The SETI League's volunteer patent and trademark counsel. The award recognizes his diligence in protecting The SETI League's intellectual property interests. This award was established in the memory of The SETI League's co-founder, himself a patent attorney, and is presented annually to a person or persons making unusual volunteer contributions, or providing extraordinary service, to The SETI League, Inc.
