JOTA-OC promises to be the best Orange County Jamboree on the
Air field event. This marks the first time that our local JOTA
is sponsored by the Orange County Council's 50,000 Scouts/Leaders.
Open FREE to all Scouts from Ventura County to San Diego County.
A Field Event JOTA offers the advantage to Scouts attending to
talking on HF Worldwide radio and have fun with amateur tv, digital,
aprs (global positioning GPS), morse code, t-hunting (orienteering
with radio) and almost every other mode of radio.
While JOTA has historically been dedicated to ham radio, this
year we will also have the computer lab available to us at Rancho
Alamitos High School to connect with Scouts using the internet.
