Somerset County Amateur Radio Society
 

Somerset County Amateur Radio Society, Inc. (SCARS) is a non-profit organization devoted to promoting Amateur Radio to all interested individuals, and encouraging the exchange of information to improve radio knowledge and operating efficiency. SCARS's primary objective is to support the Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) and the Somerset County, NJ   Office of Emergency Management (OEM). The Club Call of SCARS is WB2EWV .

Membership in SCARS is open to any individual who has an interest in amateur radio communications. An amateur radio license is not a requirement to become a member, as SCARS has two classes of membership:   Full Membership - members who are currently licensed amateur radio operators (full voting privileges), and   Associate Membership - all other members who do not hold a current valid license (no voting privileges).
