SARS New Repeater for Mount Kinabalu
As most of you are aware, the Mount Kinabalu repeater on 144.900
has for some time been giving us problems. It is now over 18 years old and needs
replacement. All members at the AGM approved the budget and replacement.
I am pleased to report that with assistance of Phil, 9M6CT who
was visiting Hong Kong last weekend the repeater has been paid for by him and shipped to
Kota Kinabalu where it arrived this weekend.
I am now asking ALL members to contribute to this new repeater
and if every one does so, we will not have to delve into the SARS Club reserves. It is
proposed that an equal payment from ALL members a minimum of RM30 will cover the cost of
the new repeater and duplexer. Members who wish to contribute more are encourage
and I will place their names in our home page for record of appreciation.
To hasten early payment to get this new repeater on the air,
please find enclosed a reply envelope stamped for your payment to SARS a minimum of RM30
either in cash or by cheque (Cheque preferred). Cheques should be made payable to
"Sabah Amateur Radio Society" and crossed. If you would prefer that the money
be given directly to an officer of the club, please advise me and I will arrange
accordingly.
