Amateur Radio Licence for the ensuing year

With immediate effect, all applications will incur an application fee of  RM60.00. Further to that, under the Multimedia Act, there will be no  renewals of amateur radio licences as such. Once the licence is expired, the holder must apply for a new licence and has to pay the application fee of RM 60.00. However, under the new Act, an applicant can apply for the tenure of licence from minimum of 3 months to maximum of 5 years.
  For example, if your apply for
 a)  1 year licence : the fee is RM 60 plus RM 36 (A class) or RM 24 (B class)
 b)  2 years licence: the fee is RM 60 plus RM 36 x 2 (A class) or RM 24 x 2 (B class)
 c)  5 years licence: the fee is RM 60 plus RM 36 x 5 (A class) or RM24 x 5 (B class)
 All applications for year 2001 and above must be submitted to CMC 60 days prior to the expiry of this year's licence. For those who had renewed the year 2000 licence, please keep your official  receipt as evidence of payment. The CMC will not be printing any  licence for  the current year, however, they are considering to send a letter of confirmation to those who had paid.  The new application form can be printed from the website of CMC at www.cmc.gov.my or click the links below to download page.

SEANET convention for year 2000  in Thailand

1. The convention will be on Nov. 17-19, 2000 at Montien Pattaya Hotel,
Pattaya, Choonburi Province.

2. The fee is 85US$ each.

3. The Hotel rates are :
Single room 1200 ß Twin room 1400 ß Tripple room 2000 ß [without Breakfast]

SEANET 2000 - CONVENTION - PATTAYA 17-19th November 2000 [Updated 25/6/2000]

The Committee have been working hard on the organisation of the convention and full details will be announced in a separate bulletin very soon. 

The Convention will take place at the Montien Hotel Pattaya. 

The Registration price will be 3000 Baht or 85 US Dollars per person for the conference

package, plus cost of accommodation. 

The Montien Hotel Pattaya are offering a special accommodation package which is approximately 50% lower than the normal charge. Thai International Airways have agreed to sponsor the Convention and to give special discounts on air-fares for delegates travelling to and from the convention. Thai Airways and the Montien Hotel

Pattaya have also booked advertising space in the Special Souvenir Diary which is being produced to commemorate the Convention. Khun Joe HS2JFW is setting up a special Convention Web-site www.seanet2000.com. This should be up and running soon, in the meantime, information will be posted also on the RAST Web-site - www.qsl.net/rast. All members who receive this newsletter will automatically receive first information about the convention.
