Thomas was born on the 7^th July 1964, in TENOM where he lived and went to school until he reached the age of 18 when he graduated from form five at the CHUNG HAW secondary school.

He started his working career with the NIPPON KOEI CONSULTANTS working as a works inspector for two years, on the construction of the Tenom Pangi Hydro Power project.

On completion of that project, Thomas went to Kuala Lumpur, where living with three other KL students, he completed his diploma in Architecture Engineering at the Federal Institute of Technology.

On obtaining his diploma he returned to East Malaysia and worked with ALEXANDER CHAN & BROTHERS, for two and half years, as an engineering supervisor during the building of roads in Sandakan. Another two years was spent with SYARIKAT KUMPULAN KEMAJUAN, as site agent during the road improvement works at PETAGAS & PUTATAN.

His next major job was working as Assistant Project Manager for the construction of the Sutera Harbour Golf and Country Club for four and half years, until 1997, and from there he went to work for UTAMA JURUTERA PERUNDING, working as the local consultant for their road projects, where he is currently employed.

His long term plans are to start a company of his own in due course. With his varied background and experience I am sure that he will succeed in what ever he takes on.

Being single has been able to put all his endeavors into other interest and hobbies and thanks to his "Elmer", Stephen Chan 9M6ET, whom he met in 1988, he is now a very keen radio amateur. He has a full "A" Class certificate enabling him to follow the hobby in what ever direction it takes him. Currently his interests are HF SSB and two meters, however he would like to get into Slow Scan TV.

The other main interest in his life is "4" wheel drive and in 1996, he participated in the "BORNEO SAFARI" driving his TOYOTA Landcruiser Mk. 2.

Thomas also enjoys travel however so far his travels have kept him within Asia having visited Singapore, Thailand and Brunei.
