The antenna was a 10m vertical approx. 40m from the sea. Unfortunately too far to connect to the Indian Ocean as on Alphonse.
As expected in a sunspot low, propagation was bad.

However, I even managed a 10m contact on a seemingly dead band to PY7RP with a 55 signal. That was totally unexpected from my side.
