- I've been an amateur radio operator since 1979. My first club was R.K.
Student, which is still active as S59DXX.
And my personal call was YU3TIH until March 1984, when it became
YU3GL.
In the spring of the same year I went to Greece, where I stayed with SV5RW.
Afterwards I went to Cyprus, staying in Astromeritis at 5B4OA and his family.
In 1986 I returned there and operated over satellite AO-10 as 5B4/YU3GL.
In 1989 I achieved a Morse code proficiency of 44 wpm, if you do like such
a music then listen for this one from Canada.
Around 1991 I worked north America on 28.405 MHz, with the TS430S and 4 el. monobander
yagi. Since 24th October 1992 I've been on the air as S51GL.
So, if there is anyone out there with
or in her/his suffix, I'd be delighted to get in touch with you!
From 1993 I've also been active on digital modes - AMTOR, AX.25, RTTY ...
In 2002 I had a pleasure to meet VU3VOC and some OM's in Dubai - U.A.E.. From time to time I am
also QRV from 9A, DL and OE land.
If you have EchoLink, then just look for me on the S55VXX-R, which node number is 28870.
Or you check on S55DMX, if i am logged via D-STAR.
