about rssri
The Radio Society of Southern Rhode Island is dedicated to the preservation of the amateur radio hobby, the promotion of the hobby to other, potential radio amateurs and to promote the acceptance and ideals of the "Elite Class" amateur license

(The Elite Class" amateur radio license is an honorary license with a minimum CW skill requirement of 30wpm and theory well above and beyond that contained in the Extra Class license. It does not provide any additional band priviledges. But you gain the status of earning the "Elite Class" license)

We provide such services as special reports that we may issue from time to time; and informational packets which explain our organization and the amateur radio hobby in detail.
