LOCATION:

Our station is located in the central path of Ekaterinburg city.
Ekaterinburg is the industrial and cultural centre of Russia.
It is located on the Ural mountains and is a capital of Urals.
The station was created in 1928 and had a first call sign AU4KAL,
also as calls: UA9KCA, UK9CAA, UK9ZRW, UK9CVV, RV9WCY, RA9C, RK9C,
RW9C, RY9C, UZ9CWA.

CONTESTING:

Our station was created for work in the contests.
We like work very much CW and SSB. From 1986 we used digital modes.
Epesially much we used RTTY and frequently became the winners in many contests.

EQUIPMENT:

For successful work in the contests we used the reliable home-brew rigs,
on the base of old military receivers and transmitters.
We also use tranceivers FT-1000MP, as well as tranceiver on the base
of military receiver R-399, home made amplifiers and IBM computers.

ANTENNAS:

All our antennas are home made. We use:
160 - Inverted Vee, Sloper dipole,
80 - 2 ele, Sloper dipole,
40 - 3 ele yagi,GP,
20 - 6 ele yagi, 3 ele yagi,
15 - 6 ele yagi, 4 ele yagi,
10 - 7 ele yagi, 4 ele yagi.

RTTY expeditions:

The first expedition - september 1990, Turkoman, RH7E,
first place in CQWW-RTTY, M/S.
Another ones - August 1993 - OH2BP,august 1994 - F8XT - SARTG WW RTTY.
September 2000 - P3A, CQWW-RTTY.

We like to collect new countries and zones.
We already have:
DXCC HONOR ROLL, 5B DXCC, DXCC 160, 5B WAZ, WAZ 160,
and many other awards.
