The RidgeTop Amateur Radio Club is an ARRL affiliated club located in Ulster County, New York. In person meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 1930 hours at "The Country Inn." The Inn is located six miles north of Route 209 on County Route 2 in Krumville, NY. All persons interested in Amateur Radio are eligible for membership. You need not have an Amateur Radio License to join RidgeTop.
RidgeTop members are active in ARES, MARS, and SKYWARN within Ulster and surrounding counties. Besides supporting the RidgeTop Repeater 146.745- , the club holds numerous events throughout the year. Field Day, ARRL contests, Fox hunts, fund raisers and community events to name a few. RidgeTop plans its activities to be enjoyable as well as educational to its members and the community.
RidgeTop holds on the air nets every Tuesday, except the third, at 19:30 on the repeater. Frank Stone, KB2YUR, Ulster Counties ARRL Official Bulletin Station brings the latest ARRL bulletins to the net. The net is concluded with Swap and Sell so tune in for some bargains. On the second Tuesday of each month at 20:00 RidgeTop holds Public Service Information Nets. These nets address such topics as The National TrafficSystem, Repeater Protocol, Emergency Preparedness, Emergency Response, Recovery, and Mitigation as well as other topics. Anyone interested in Emergency Communications are welcome and encouraged to join the net.
