Amateur Radio License and Emergency Communicator Examinations Schedule

 

Important Exam Information

The following schedule of Examination Team Liaison. The Fee to take the Amateur Radio License test is $15.00. Applicants may take as many examinations elements as they can successfully pass during a session for the one fee.

Another fee is charged to retake a failed examination. Exact currency amount is required or a check made out to "ARRL/VEC". No photocopy capability is avaliable at the test sites, so be sure to bring any required photocopies to be given to the exam team to forward to the VEC. Change cannot be made, so bring exact cash or your checkbook.

Rio Grande Valley Amateur Radio Club (RGVARC) License Test
(ARRL / VEC)

Exam Time & Date: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Every second Tuesday of each month.
Location: Main Mission Fire Station Building

We are an ARRL testing team. Test fee is $15.00 cash only (no checks please). You need an FCC frn# or your SS# and a legal photo ID.

(If you are a Ham and are upgrading) bring a copy of your license and a copy of a CSCE if you are claiming credit for a previously taken test.

Harlingen Area VE Team (HVET) Radio License Test at VBMC
(ARRL / VEC)

Pre-Registration of applicants by telephone is required by calling the contact person listed below at least 24 hours in advance of a test at VBMC.

Exam Beginning Time: 7:00 PM
Location: BVMC Boggus Education Building, Room 2
2110 Benwood, Harlingen (across from Emergency Room - corner of Ed Carey & Benwood)

Harlingen VE Team (HVET) Radio License Test at TSTC
(ARRL / VEC)

Exam Beginning Time: 9:00 AM
Location: Building W, Room 107 at TSTC in Harlingen. After turning north on Raintree St. from Loop 499, continue to the last major parking lot entrance on the left. Turn left, enter last parking lot on right, building W is to your left.
