10 Things To Know:
1. The Roane County Amateur Radio Club has been active since February 1, 1987.
2. We are over 50 members strong!
3. The club is an affiliated member of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL)
4. The club sponsors ARRL/VEC testing sessions on the 2nd Saturday of every even month.
5. The club meets every 2nd Thursday of each month at Roane State Community College Exposistion Center at 7 P.M. All are welcome!
6. The club has a 2 meter net every Monday evening (except on major holidays) at 8 PM on the 147.015 (+) club repeater.
7. The club sponsored ARES group is ready to provide emergency communications in the event of an emergency. ROANE IS READY!
8. The club takes part in ham radio's "Field Day" on the last weekend of June at Fort Southwest Point in Kingston.
9. The club's wide area coverage repeater is located on top of Roosevelt Mountain in Rockwood at an altitude of 2000 feet above sea level!
