RAST President Chaiyong, HS1QVD, has been appointed an adviser to the Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology(ECTI) Association for the Thai telecommunication Encyclopedia Project. Starting from Oct.1, 2006 till end of 2007 RAST will include Thai amateur radio history and Q-code Morse-code etc. |

Khun Phat has help DDMP(Department of Disaster Prevention Management) on network design and coordination workflow and report. He also suggested that DDPM shall incorporate communication channels and setup stations on amateur radio. |

Phat has made several contacts and discussions regarding the Winlink Project, being digital mode emergency network whereby email could be transmitted through HF worldwide. So far, Thailand is the only blind spot in this region. The nearest station is in Madras, India. |

Phat has coordinated with OpenCARE Project in producing a middleware that allows everyone around the world to input or retrieve data. It will be a big data base that includes also all flash incidents. |

RAST hosted a dinner party for Mr. Gopal Madhavan, president of ARSI (Amateur Radio Society of India) and a Director of IARU-R3 at Suan Kularb Restaurant on Nov 30, 2006. He is on his way to Japan for IARU-R3 Director meeting. Mr Gopal brought along the IARU-R3 brochures to be distributed here. We have discussed various issues i.e. Disaster reporting and Winlink project. |
