The Radio Amateur Society of Thailand under the patronage of His Majesty the King would like to invite all amateur radio operators in Thailand to participate in the RAST ARDF (Amateur Radio Direction Finding) Contest on the weekend of February 18-19, 2017 for the opportunity to win the Royal trophy bestowed by Her Royal Highess Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
The contest will take place at the Nongprue Municipality in Bang Lamung, Chon Buri and those who are interested in attending this event should contact HS1AXC (Khun Ukrit) at 0819030103 or E27GLL (Khun Pichitchai) at 0819035585.
The event was postponed from early November 2016 to February 2017 following the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. This information can be found in Thai here,

Categories in the contest


1. Amateur radio society teams: application fee is 1,500 baht (each society may sponsor three teams, each team comprising one competitor);
2. Club station teams: application fee is 1,000 baht (one club station may submit an unlimited number of teams, each team having not more than two competitors, one of which must be a radio amateur);
3. Male teams aged not over 25 years: application fee is 800 baht;
4. Male teams aged not over 40 years: application fee is 800 baht;
5. Male teams aged 40 years or more: application fee 800 baht;
6. Female teams (no age categories): application fee 800 baht.

Teams representing amateur radio societies must include a letter of sponsorship from the society with their application.
Each team must use one application form.

Applicants who have made a bank transfer should send a copy of the payment by email to [email protected]. Please add the words "appication to compete in the RAST ARDF 2016 contest / your team name"
If you do not send this email with proof of payment to participate in the contest, you will forfeit the right to compete.
