RAST was to be the host of the annual ARDF Championships with the winning trophy being from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at the Marpprachun Reservoir in Bang Lamung, Chon Buri. However the event was postponed until February 18-19, 2017 due to the passing of His Majesty the King.

The RAST Registrar, E20NKB summarises the society's membership as being 11 new gold members, 175 new silver members (with 31 overseas members), 183 new annual members and 5 new organisational members in 2016.
