The annual meeting was held at the QCWA Convention at the Cavalier Hotel in Virginia Beach, VA on Friday, October 3, 2008.

Meeting was called to order at 4:35 PM by President Janice Lentz, K4IJK.

Members and guests in attendance: Carolyn Harrison, WBØOUM; Gary Harrison, KØBC; Larry McCalvy, WA9JMO; Bob Roske, NØUF; Al Coroerman, WB1EFN; Anne, Manna, WB1ARU; Rita Hale, W1UZR; Ruth Bigio, KB4LIF; George Roach, VE3BNO; M. Jean Gimbel, VE3CBQ; Pam LaPeter, KD4HTB; Al LaPeter, W2AS; and Janice Lentz, K4IJK.

Motion made by Larry McCal;vy, WA9JMO to accept the minutes as they appear on Chapter 120's web site of our 2007 annual meeting. Gary Harrison, KØBC seconded motions. It passed.

Larry McCalvy, WA9JMO, Chapter Treasurer give a report of financial transactions and the current balance in the chapter's checking account (see old business for only financial transaction that occurred since the lasts annual meeting). Gary Harrison, KØBC motion to accept treasurer's report; Joan Powell, VE3ZC seconded. Membership approved.

Larry McCalvy, WA9JMO in discussing the donation of $100 to the operating fund of QCWA, said that currently QCWW did not have a source of income since we no longer required dues and was living on what is currently in our checking; offered a motion to donate $50 to the QCWA general operating fund. Seconded Joan Powell, VE3ZC. Membership approved.

Two new member were welcomed to the Chapter: Anne E. Manna, WB1ARU from Hanover, MA and Ruth Bigio, KB4LIF from Chesapeake, VA. Welcome!

There was a discussion on how to bring members together. There is a net available via the Internet called "CQ 100" that would allow our members with computer Internet available to access a Chapter 120 net (if and when set up) that offers Q-5 copy to all participants. Larry McCalvy will investigate and report back to the membership in the Spring 2009 Journal under chapter reports.

Larry McCalvy, WA9JMO, acting as the nomination committee, asked for nominations from the floor for the office of President. Bob Roske, NØUF offered the name of Janice Lentz, K4IJK for President. No other names were offered. Bob Roske, NØUF motioned nomination for president by closed and one ballot be cast for Janice for president; Ann Manna, WB1ARU seconded: Membership approved.

Larry McCalvy, WA9JMO nominated Carolyn Harrison, WBØOUM for Vice-president. No other nominations for VP were offered. Bob Roske, NØUF motioned be closed for VP and one ballot be cast for Carolyn for VP. Joan Powell, VE3ZC seconded. Membership approved.

Larry McCalvy, WA9JMO was nominated for treasurer. No other named were offered for Treasurer. Bob Roske, NØUF motioned nominations for treasurer be closed and one ballot be cast for Larry as treasurer. Ruth Bigio, KB4LIF seconded. Membership approved.

A motion was made to recombine the offices of treasurer and secretary according to our current by-laws. Motion by Bob Roske, NØUF. Seconded by Ruth Bigio, KB4LIF. Membership Approved.
