QCWA Chapter 120 (QCWW) Annual Meeting 2007

The QCWW annual meeting was held during the QCWA Convention at the Doubletree Hotel in Denver, CO on Friday, October 5, 2007.

Members and guests present were: Sue Simpson N8AJU, Ken Simpson W8EK, Croft Taylor VE3CT, Joan Powell VE3ZC, George Roach VE3BNO, Janice Lentz K4IJK, Gary Harrison KØBC, Carolyn Harrison WBØOUM and Larry McCalvy WA9JMO.

Meeting was called to order at 9:38AM by President Janice Lentz.

Welcome and moment of silence in memory of our Silent Keys.

Minutes of the 2006 QCWW meeting in Calgary, AB were read by Carolyn Harrison. Motion to approve minutes made by Larry McCalvy. Seconded by Gary Harrison. Motion approved.

Larry McCalvy presented the Treasurer's report.
$136.74 intended for newsletter postage will be put in General funds.
$100 from 2006 action needs to be given to QCWA General Fund.

Motion to accept Treasurer's report made by Gary Harrison. Seconded by Carolyn Harrison. Motion approved.

Old Business:
    1. Virtual QCWW Chapter approved in 2006, but has to be implemented.
    2. By-laws changes were approved in 2006. Larry to talk to Ann Nutter about new by-laws status.

New Business:
    1. Ann put a motion forth to donate $100 to QCWA's General Fund by email to Larry McCalvy before the 2007 annual Chapter meeting. Larry seconded the motion. Motion approved.
    2. QCWA 60-60 Award availability announced.
    3. Nomination of Ken Simpson, W8EK and Joan Powell, VE3ZC to be accepted as Chapter members by Larry McCalvy. Carolyn Harrison seconded. Motion approved.

Announcements:
    1. QCWW Certificates available for 5 member contacts.
    2. QCWW 2008 annual meeting will be during the QCWA 2008 Convention in Virginia Beach, VA.
    3. 2008 Will be election year for Chapter officers.

Larry McCalvy made the motion to adjourn. Carolyn Harrison seconded. Motion approved. Meeting adjourned at 10:35 AM. A group picture was taken.
