Chapter 120 Quarter Century Wireless Women

Our Annual and only meeting of the year was held onboard the Holland America cruise ship Veendam as part of a seven-day Alaskan adventure 21-28 August 2005. Vice-President Janice Lentz, K4IJK was the presiding officer. Treasurer/ Newsletter Editor Larry McCalvy, WA9JMO; Terry, KA0BHO & Melba, KA0BAT Hoss; Dick Haxton, KC3AN; and Rita Hale, W1UZR rounded out the meeting group. Special thanks to Rita for taking our meeting’s notes. President Carolyn Harrison, WB0OUM and Secretary Ann Nutter, VE3HAI were unable to attend.

Janice opened the meeting and requested a moment in honor of our recent Silent Keys. Minutes from last year’s Ottawa meeting were not read (no one remembered to bring a copy). However, our previous meeting minutes are on our Web Page. You may reach it via QCWA‘s home page www.qcwa.org. Click on Chapter 120’s Web page and they should be there.

Under Old Business there was none. New Business mentioned a slate of officers for next year’s election which will occur during the QCWA Convention in Calgary. We hope many of you can join us and host Chapter 151 from 28 to 30 September 2006.

We are still looking for current, former and new members of and for the Chapter. Dues are $5 per year, life membership is $50 and we hope to have our quarter newsletters back on track very quickly. I would like to thank those members who email me with contact information and your current activities.
