The Quincy Area Repeater Group was organized by a group of area amateurs to establish the 147.195MHz repeater in Quincy Illinois. The group felt it was important to have a more than one local 2M repeater open at all properly licensed amateur radio operators in the West Central Illinois and North Eastern Missouri area.
On June 4th, after 18 years of operation, the operation, control, and maintenance of the 147.195 repeater system was transferred to the Western Illinois Amateur Radio Club. The WIARC plans to continue operation of this system at the current site.
The Charter Members would like to thank all the local area amateurs who have been members of the QARG through the years and have supported the the operation of this system.
