ITARANA IS . - SA - 060 / DIB - 25 ( two times )

            It was the first expedition accomplished by a group of Brazilian hams to the Island of Itarana, which is located in the north of Brazil, in the 00º 30 ' S - 47th 12 ' W of the coast. She has 16 km² and it is inhabited by farmers that possess great creations of buffalos, ewes and caprines.The amount and diversity of birds is enormous, with curious colors. The ocean water is warm, blue and crystalline, existing a great amount of fish and crustaceans. The operation took place in the date from 10.12.1992 to 13.12.1992. The special indicative used for the operation it was ZY8IS, and the group of Brazilian hams was composed for: PY8EA - MR. Rocha, PT7BI - Mr. Daniel and PY8FLC - Mr. Lopes.

            The call sign for the second dxpedition was ZY8R, with PP5AP, Rodrigues - PY8EA,Rocha, PY8MD, Carlos Mário, PY8FLC,Lopes and PT7BI,Daniel.

ABROLHOS ARCHIPELAGO - SA - 019 / DIB - 12

Abrolhos Archipelago is a group of five islands of volcanic origin, located in South Atlantic Ocean, about 80 km far from Bahia state southern coast in Brazil.  As hunting and fishing are forbidden there, thousands of birds, fish, turtles, whales and other kinds of sea life can live and procreate in peace. There is in St Barbara Island, the largest and the only one inhabited, a lighthouse that is to guide the ships that navigate for there .
Our expeditioner group assembled in the small town of Caravelas in the Bahia state. Then we went right to St. Barbara Is., by ship after a four hours trip. The operation began in Febr 24th and finished on Febr. 27th. The group composed of six Brazilian hams became separated in two groups, being an operating  with PY0A, in the modality of SSB, composed of PT2GTI - Mr. Roberto, PP5SZ - Mr. Pedro, PT2HF - Mr. Lunkes and PT7BI - Mr. Daniel. The other group was composed of PP1CZ - Mr. Leo and PT2NP - Mr. Paulo, that operated in CW, with  PY0B.

MARAJÓ IS. - DIB 23

It is the largest island fluviomaritima of the world, with about 49.000 km², where inside of her Belgium or Holland fit. This ecological paradise is dominated by little and big cattle breeding farms, with prominence for the buffalos.Besides them, there are in the island capybaras, suçuaranas, laziness, caititus, monkeys, deer ,jacarés, boas, chameleons and turtles, unassuming the dozens of types of birds. Among the fish - tucunarés, tambaquis, the dangerous piranhas - stands out the pirarucu the " cod of the Amazonian ".
The group was constituted of five brazilian hams, PP5AP,Rodrigues - PT7BI,Daniel - PY8EA,Rocha - PY8FLC,Lopes - PY8MD,Carlos Mário, that used the call sign so much ZY8M for operation in SSB like CW. The expedition took place in March of 1997

BAILIQUE IS - SA - 045 / DIB - 35 - 1th Dxpedition

The call sign used for this expedition it was ZV8BI, where PT7BI, Daniel and PY8MD,Carlos Mário, operated for the first time of that distant island, located in the end north of Brazil, in the state of Amapá, 01st 00 ' N - 53rd 00 ' W. THE abundant fauna is constituted of red guarás and herons, besides herds of buffalos serlvagens.It is an ecological station, still restricted the research, where the
hunt and the fishing are forbidden.
