**** WHO WE ARE ****
    The Port St. Lucie Amateur Radio Club was the dream of a small group of radio enthusiasts from the
    area that were involved in Emergency communications of the area in the early '90's. At the time
    Port St. Lucie was a growing city of about 50,000 and growing rapidly and it was decided that the area
    should have a group with common interest in radio that could get together and swap their ideas and
    socialize. So the birth of the Port St. Lucie Amateur Radio Association became a reality in early 1993.
    As luck would have it a repeater became available and was put into service on a 2 meter frequency
    146.955- and a tone of 107.2
     Our antenna is located on a Clear Channel commercial tower just off Rt #1 at about 350 feet . 
    We have Echolink connected to this repeater. Echolink node # 17836 and listed as KT4PA-L on
    the Echolink opening page.  It will accept DTMF signels for connecting to other statons throughtout
    the country. Don't forget this is an open repeater so give it a try.
    We also run a 440 repeater on 443.650+ located at the local hospital on Tiffany Ave. at about
    150 feet. Since the birth of our association in 1993 our membership has grown to an average of 100
    a year. We meet on the forth Wednesday of each month at St. Andrew Lutheran Church located at
    295 Prima Vista Boulevard in Port St. Lucie at 7:30 P.M. All are welcome. For those of you that
    are wondering, "Where is Port St. Lucie"? Port St. Lucie is a city of approximately 135,000
    people and is 8 miles south of Fort Pierce and 45 miles north of West Palm Beach on the east
    coast of Florida where the sun always shines and the temperature is just soooooo fine........
    If you're ever in the area or driving through on Route 95 be sure to tune in the 146.955 repeater
    and say hello to some of the gang, so until then WE'LL BE LISTENING...
       

      **** OUR NETS****

      We have a Rag Chew and Traders net every Thursday Evening at 7:30 P.M. on the Club
      Repeater 146.955-. The net is open to all..and we're connected through Echolink and the
      KT4PA Link into       Port St. Lucie. So join in and enjoy...Who knows you might find that hard
      to get part or Radio.       We also have a Technical section on the Net, where any and all
      technical questions are thrown around       to our group and we attempt to solve it....
