Thirteen Polk ARES members participated in the Lakeland Police Departments Crime Prevention EXPO2001.  An HF & VHF demo station, along with an ARES display, was deployed.  Brochures promoting amateur radio & public service were available for the participants.  ARES members also provided site security and installed a Public Address system for the event.  95 hours of service were provided.
