NOTE: This page will only be updated approximately once a
month. Updates will normally occur within the first week of each
month, as the webmaster has time. Patience please! Watch the [email protected]
for breaking claimed record announcements.

section to see the archived email announcement by the operator(s)
involved for any other details.

Updated: 27 May 2004
To
be eligible to have a contact listed as claimed on this page the
following conditions apply:
1) At least
one operator involved in the contact must be a member of the PNWVHFS
at the time the contact takes place.
2) Only contacts
after 0001z on 01 January 2003 are eligible. No contacts using electronic
means of rebroadcast (repeaters, man-made satellites, linear translators,
etc) are eligible.
3) Reports
should be sent to the [email protected]
reflector and MUST contain the following
information: Station info for both operators (callsigns & email
addresses or phone numbers if available), Frequency, Emmision Mode
(Digital, SSB, CW)), Time, Date, Six-digit grid locators (ie: CN85km)
for both stations, Claimed distance, Propagation mode (Meteor Scatter,
Aurora, EME, Tropo, etc).
4) PNWVHFS
reserves the right to independantly contact both operators to verify
the details of the contact. In the event of conflict, the PNWVHFS
Board of Directors will review the case and reach a determination.
This decision will be final.
5) Operators
are asked to not claim "garden variety" contacts. This
only creates a great deal of work for the society staff.
6) There are
no "awards" associated with these per se. PNWVHFS may
award certificates to the operators for exceptional efforts upon
recommendation of the Board of Directors. These certificates will
be presented at the annual meeting of the Society.
Addendum:
In January 2004 the PNWVHFS Board of Directors voted to limit the
Distance Scoreboard Emmission Mode types to only Digital, SSB and
CW.
