Later, Es began to make its annual appearance very well. As stated in my first column (May 1970) I hoped to have this be limited primarily to ionospheric VHF DX propagation modes. Lately, there has been an increased level in the reporting of what could be classed as 'locals' for the reporters involved. These are of interest to other members usually only when they too have a chance of receiving the same stations. With the Es season going almost full blast now, some of these type of reports may be delayed to columns when DX is more slack. 73, Pat WA5IYX/5
