               INSTRUCTIONS FOR DEPENDENTS WHO ARE PORT CALLED TO
               REPORT DIRECTLY TO HOTELS IN THE NEW YORK CITY AREA
               INSTEAD OF FORT HAMILTON, BROOKLYN, NY             


     1.  Transportation will be available at Pennsylvania and Grand Central
Stations, between 0800 and 1600 hours on reporting date for movement to their
hotel and sufficient personnel will be stationed at both terminals to pro-
vide initial assistance as necessary.

     2.  Processing teams will be assigned at the Henry Hudson Hotel, West 57th
Street, New York City and the Hotel St George, 51 Clark Street, Brooklyn, NY.
These teams will conduct the necessary administrative processing pertaining
to passports, identification cards, medical, and hold baggage.  They will also
furnish general information pertaining to orientation, final temperature check,
handling of cabin luggage, and movement to shipside.

     3.  Family units who are port called to the Hotel Pierrepont and the Towers
Hotel will be required to report to the processing team at the Hotel St George
for the accomplishment of their administrative processing.  These three (3)
hotels are located within the radius of one (1) city block.

     4.  Family units are advised that the following rates, meals excluded, will
apply at the hotels indicated:

         a.  Henry Hudson Hotel:  Single Room $4.00; Double Room $7.00
             (An additional charge of $2.00 for each additional roll-in bed or
             crib.)

         b.  Hotel St George, Hotel Pierrepont and the Hotel Towers:

             Single Room $3.00; Double Room $6.50
             (An additional charge of $1.50 for each additional roll-in bed or
             crib.)

     5.  If your port call instructs you to report directly to a hotel in the
New York city area instead of Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn, New York, it is requested
that you furnish the following information for each member of the family 12 years
of age or over direct to:  Commanding Officer, Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn, New York,
ATTN:  Processing Branch, Operations Section, Building 28, Brooklyn 9, NY:

         a.  Height
         b.  Weight
         c.  Color of Hair
         d.  Color of Eyes
         e.  Date of Birth
         f.  Other Identifying Dots (such as moles, etc)
