Many amateurs tell me that
an Moon (P4) transponder will be not possible for many reasons. One of the main
reasons they give is the problem to land on the moon surface. In my opinion it
is not possible only when it is proven. Below I will show some ideas of me how
the solve the landing on the moon problem. These are only ideas and I post them
here to activate amateurs and technicians to find out some other methode to
land on the moon without using expensive rocket motors.
Maybe my ideas are not
working or look like crazy ideas but it is at least a TRY to find an solution
to an problem.
The problem of landing on
the moon is the high speed at which P4
is travelling towards the moon surface. Somehow the P4 unit has to be slowed
down, so it can land smoothly on the moon surface. Earlier moon landings solved
this problem with huge rocket motors, which are expensive and need large amoung
of fuel.
This could also be used in
an P4 mission like shown below:

This option seems to be
very expensive and diffucult to do, so several other ideas to land on the moon
without using rocket engines:
THE EXPLOSION LANDING:

Maybe an explosion can also
slow down an P4 enough for a smooth landing. It surely needs an high shock
proof P4 unit.
THE SKIPPY-BALL LANDING:

The P4 unit is inside an
inflatable balloon that is inflated just before impact on the moon. The balloon will act as an skippy ball, and it
will bounce on the moon surface with the P4 unit protected at the inside. When
after many bounces the balloon has stopped bouncing, the balloon will be
deflated and P4 is landed on the moon surface J
THE AIRBAG LANDING:

The airbag landing idea is
like an airbag used to protect people in an car-crash. The airbag will be
inflated just before impact and deflated when landed on the moon surface.
THE ELASTIC LANDING:

The P4 unit will fly just
above the lunar surface with an high speed. To slow down the high speed the P4
unit will release an elastic with at the end an anchor. The anchor will stick
into the lunar surface and the elastic will slowly decrease the speed of the P4
unit. When the P4 unit has slow down speed enough, it will cut the elastic line
and land smoothly on the moon surface. The elastic will “shoot” away in the
other direction.
THE SLIDE LANDING:

This idea is more for use
in combination with another technic that already has slow down the P4 unit, but
not for 100%. The slide alows the P4 unit to land on the lunar surface even
when it has some slow speed left.
Combinations of more ideas
can also be possible like an small rocket to slow down from high speed to
medium speed, an elastic to slow down to low speed, and an slide to land on the
moon surface and slow down to none speed. It are just ideas, and I hope there
are some more amateurs who even have better ideas to land on the moon surface.
Tell me an I will add them to the list, so at the end we can finally have an P4
in reallity J
So, enjoy HAM hobby.
